Below is my KPI planning for production network anti-intrusion. Of course, if the company could adopt OKR sooner, that might actually be a better choice.

These days reading The Common Sense of Management, there’s a point that keeps coming up: performance is the team’s performance. As a leader, your job is to make both your boss and the people involved actually get results — that’s what being a leader means.
At the same time, whether it’s performance or management, the focus should always be on getting things done. The people doing the work need to first think about how to do it, not why they’re doing it. (That doesn’t mean being rough, rude, or sloppy about it.) Most of the time, the leader does have a broader view of things. And once everyone agrees on a direction and the work is divided up, you go all-in.
The Excellent Manager makes another point worth chewing on: when you’re contributing to company results, you are a manager. Thinking it over — once you start thinking deeply about a certain area and develop a new perspective, new responsibility follows naturally, and so does access to resources. That’s even more true when you actively seek it out. Responsibility, resources, and authority balance each other. If you can get that loop going in a healthy direction, it’ll pay off for your career. But knowing it and actually doing it — there’s still a long way to go.
Believe in yourself, and do it. Start with self-management.
